The New Mexico Water Resources Association (NMWRA) is a federation of New Mexico ground-water and irrigation districts that discusses and advocates for shared water resources goals within the state. Member districts include: the San Juan Water Commission, the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District, the Carlsbad Irrigation District, the Arch Hurley Conservation District, the Pecos Valley Artesian Conservancy District, and the Elephant Butte Irrigation District. NMWRA’s top 2014 issues include:
* Drought and associated adverse impacts, such as flooding and wildfire;
* Aging infrastructure, including 100-year old NRCS flood control dams; and
* Litigation arising out of project water rights, Indian Rights settlements, and the Endangered Species Act.
