The National Water Resources Association’s (NWRA) 84th Annual Conference was held on November 4-6 in Denver, Colorado at the Westin Denver Downtown Hotel.
The conference will focus on contemporary issues facing water managers throughout the United States, including expert panels on:
El Niño, the value of hydropower, groundwater management, public/private partnerships, disaster response (wildfire, etc.) and environmental partnerships with the water community. We heard keynote presentations from the Commissioner of the Bureau of Reclamation and CEO/Manager of Denver Water. We also heard from a bipartisan panel of former members of Congress and other Washington insiders about the big issues shaping the national political scene and upcoming presidential election. Attend breakout sessions with senior managers of the Bureau of Reclamation and the Army Corps of Engineers. Members participated in the NWRA Federal Affairs program and learn about congressional and federal agency activity that affects the water community.
